Results – Marcus I Invitational, August 30, 2014

Janet DeMannequin, painting a Vincent like picture with her musical words for all runners at the 2014 Marcus I. If you conquered the Levee, go enjoy some “as American as” Apple Pie to celebrate!

Dateline August 30, 2014 – North Lakes Park, Denton, Texas: Thanks to all the attending teams, coaches, bus drivers, volunteers, parents, fans and especially the runners for making this year’s Marcus I Invitational a great event. We compliment all the runners who competed today, with special kudos to those that didn’t run dry on the Levee, but rather completely conquered it, and left whistling a happy tune, ala’ the sole mama of TX Cross Country, Marcus’ very own Janet DeMannequin.

Janet and the entire Marcus Cross Country Family wish each and every runner on all the teams attending Marcus I a tremendous 2014 cross season.  May you all have nothing but happy trails ahead and never find yourself running on empty.

Marcus II will be held again this year, now for its second year running at its new location, Westlake Park, in Hickory Creek, TX (start time 730 AM) on the shores of Lake Lewisville against a gorgeous photo opp backdrop, the Lake Lewisville Toll Bridge connecting Lake Dallas to Little Elm. Details are available on the Marcus II Invitational page on this site. Please enjoy below some pictures from last year’s meet featuring Lake Lewisville  and the Toll Bridge. We hope to see you out there — and best of all – our Hickory Creek site has more than an ample abundance of parking!!! 🙂 We hope to see you there!
