Marcus I Invitational – Don’t Let the Levee Break You!

To quote Led Zeppelin, who were actually paraphrasing a Kansas Joe McCoy and Levees-Broke-Memphis Minnie 1929 song “When the Levee Breaks”, which commemorated the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927, we strongly recommend that all Marcus I Invitational runners and fans take heed:

“Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan
Got what it takes to make a mountain man leave his home…

Cryin’ won’t help you, prayin’ won’t do you no good
When the levee breaks, mama, you got to move”

And to snag a Marcus I Invitational commemorative t-shirt, you’ll also have to move fast to avoid getting left high and dry sans apparel. All sizes available for the taking for $10 cash, on a first come, first serve basis. While the photo below fails to capture this year’s Marcus I shirt’s actual blue color, here’s a preview:

005Don’t let the Levee break you – You break the levee! And don’t just Survive, Thrive! And definitely don’t get stranded, like these guys below, without proof that YOU CONQUERED THE LEVEE!
