Marauders Get Patriotic, Enjoy a Finely Timed Colonial Experience

Janet DeMannequin, the sole mama of TX HS Cross Country, absolutely knows how to go the distance. Her shoe fetish for running shoes rivals Imelda Marcos’ penchant for Filipino zapatos, and she swaps them out more frequently. Janet always says “After 300 miles I wouldn’t be caught dead in yesterday’s running shoes.”

Dateline September 28, 2013 – The Colony Cougar Classic @ The Colony, TX: Despite some wet weather, the Marcus Marauders wore some big shoes today and enjoyed a soleful Colonial experience along the shores of Lake Lewisville at The Colony Cougar Classic. The force and course was with each of the MXC teams as they combined to make a Delawarean statement, with each team placing first in its race. Although sunshine patriots may have had to run for cover at times this morning, MXC stood its ground and delivered plenty of sunshine to Marcus Cross fans.

Good luck to all MXCers who qualified for next week’s Nike South Invitational.
