Good Luck, Again, MXC Varsity Teams – This Time @ Saturday’s TX State XC Championship

Wishing good luck to the MXC Boys & Girls Varsity Teams in Round Rock, TX this Saturday, November 10th, at the TX UIL Class 5A Cross Country Championship!!!

Note to Teams: Fantastic job all season (really since the start of summer) building to this date, not just surviving District & Regional, but excelling. You’ve made all past and present MXCers, and your fans (parents, coaches and fellow students), extremely proud. Your success is the reward of your hard work, faith in self and team, and willingness to put it all out there on the line. The season’s almost over – there’s only one thing left to do: LEAVE IT ALL OUT THERE ON THE COURSE Saturday, and RUN LIKE THE CHAMPIONS YOU ARE!!!  Be confident, believe in yourselves; we do!!!

Confidence
By Melissa Underwood

You don’t always have to be in the lead…
If you have the heart to come from behind.
Don’t give up hope, don’t doubt yourself,
And a new strength is what you’ll find.
The spirit of competition, the desire to succeed
will always be important for life.
So give your all, everything you’ve got,
No matter the occasion, through pain and strife.
So step up to the {line}, enter the race,
Never be afraid to take your turn.
Because winners are people who just never quit,
And this is a life lesson we all will learn.
